What’s the best way to enjoy the benefits of Sweetzer?
- 2 pumps (20ml) per serving (150ml) is sweet enough to tantalise the taste buds. Why 2 pumps is enough to deliver the sweetness you crave? This concentrated form allows you to enjoy sweetness – guilt-free – in minimal quantity while keeping your sugar intake in check.
Note: - 2 pumps dispenses 20ml of syrup
- 150 ml equals 2/3 of a cup
Why are Sweetzer sugar-free syrups suitable for diabetics and keto dieters?
Sweetzer sugar-free syrups contain erythritol, a type of sugar alcohol (polyol) that occurs naturally in corn and some fruits such as watermelon, pears, and grapes, and fermented foods (like cheese and soy sauce). Here’s why this sugar alcohol is a good choice:
- No effect on blood sugar: Erythritol has a glycaemic index (GI) of 0, meaning it does not raise blood sugar or insulin levels, making it safe for diabetics.
- Low calories: It contains almost zero calories, so it supports low-calorie diets like keto.
- No metabolism by the body: Erythritol is quickly absorbed by the small intestine and excreted through urine within 24 hours. This process prevents it from being metabolised or turned into energy, thus does not contribute to carb or calorie counts.
